“IN MY EXPERIENCE, CUSTODIANS OF LOCAL KNOWLEDGE BELIEVE THAT KNOWLEDGE IS SOCIALLY CREATED, THROUGH INTERACTIONS BETWEEN HUMANS AND NON-HUMANS; THAT INDIVIDUALS ARE OBLIGED TO PUT THEIR KNOWLEDGE TO USE UNSELFISHLY; AND THAT TEACHERS OF KNOWLEDGE POSSESS AN INALIENABLE RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE ITS PROPER USE.”
- Russel Lawrence Barsh, NYU, UW, Advisor to the UN
THINKING PARTNER AND SO MUCH MORE
WHAT DOES THAT EXACTLY MEAN?
The thinking partner’s primary value lays in her/his ability to expand your awareness and consciousness to further your purpose. We do this in different ways, from challenging your thinking process, introducing new ways of relating to your ecosystem, assessing your worldview (paradigms, systems, assumptions, actions) to supporting your designing regenerative systems that encompass your values and principles and further your mission.
What a thinking partner is not: a consultant, an industry expert or anyone with a vested interest in your organization.
Everyone (including us) who has made this leap of faith - becoming an entrepreneur, joining a startup, exploring unknown charters - understands that everything we do is an experiment and that every decision we make, every challenge we face is a test and a teaching moment. In the heat of your organization’s growth/development, first principles are easily forgotten. Our views of what matters can be clouded by external and internal dynamics. Although we’ve been taught otherwise, entrepreneurs are not superhuman.
Traditional Medicinals, Seventh Generation, Numi Tea are among a growing cast of “responsible” and “conscious” businesses that, through trial and errors have mastered the art of mindful impact throughout the product life cycle and supply chain. They are in constant transformation and yet are thriving and resilient organizations. Most importantly they are having fun doing well by embodying the change they seek.
Services
We offer three modules to inject restorative and regenerative mindset and practices into your organizations.
We are also available to help you face or solve any situation (from burnout to internal/external conflicts) that requires a human-centered restorative and regenerative approach (see our Inspiration (blog) for more.
enlightener
A series of 1-2-3 interactive presentations followed by a conversation about eco/living systems and how they pertain to how you/your organization operates in the greater world:
1-You are an ecosystem, and your environment and choices shape your capacity to self-regenerate as well as the world around you. Who “does” regenerating better than all of us combined and why it matters.
2- Listening, a required but underrated skill, is too often taken for granted and rarely used effectively. And yet, it is the most conducive skill to designing regenerative programs and systems.
3- Regenerative systems: from natural ecosystems to organizations’ living systems, regeneration equates to dynamic mutualistic/symbiotic systems aimed at creating benefits that sustain thriving communities.
PS: You’ll be surprised, I guarantee it!
